Final evaluation transfered to Prezi.com ,this cool web 2.0 presentation tool had to be learned from scratch ,try and meet deadlines, overcome the learning and making mistakes obstacle for new tool, and then final learn how to emebed it into the blogger website. All of this takes time and is another excellent example of progression from the first music magazine example i done in AS to the new horror Teaser trailer using variety of multimedia products and then learn to use them effectively and not just be a spectator in media like lot of the audience ,but now i become a active participant of media theory and this final web 2.0 show how far i have progress in learning curve. Having had to create a facebook account ,then a blogger account ,then a moonfruit webdesign account and then slideshare account to share my powerpoints to not just the school ,but to whole world and by embeding the correct meta key tags ,i will probably be found by the search engines like google and yahoo. I have already found that over 30 people watched the videos online on vimeo and my evaluation slides were read over 50 times probably by other media students around uk because of the key terms of using horror media a2 as key terms in the meta tags list. Overall the project has had many challenges ,hopefully someday later of my blogs may be read and some one may find some of the content interesting and informative. As media Theroist David Guantlet said in his SECOND EDITION book of "Media, Gender and Identity", published in March 2008. " Media messages are diverse, diffuse and contradictory. Rather than being zapped straight into people's brains, ideas about lifestyle and identity that appear in the media are resources which individuals use to think through their sense of self and modes of expression. " quote taken from website url http://theoryhead.com/gender/extract.htm
Final Pictures of the Poster and Magazine cover after small Reworking
The Magazine cover is the one i found most time consuming ,trying to create a brand identity to existing magazine.
Many different layers meant file size started to get big so i had to discard the layers i was not using in photoshop. I am pleased with the final result and the tag line which may be little corny i think it could work as a poster for a horror film . One has to be very careful with the final layers to ensure you select all important layers or it may get missed out.
=== Some notes and final comments regarding both media texts created exclusively for this project.

Presenation we created to show and inspire the youngsters for film making concepts and print screens of great horror films and icons. More of the slides i created while doing the production and post production put on slide share. Horror movies quick overview n project final
Quick presentation 13 slides of some of top 50 best horror films . I seen lot of these ,i like way there is a still from the film and year of release.started but did not finish all 50 horror films
Camera shots and sizes from print screen of website. All too often if website does not work then we are stuck so i take print screen ,also sometime content get removed by user.
I spent long time with research of my blood soaked fonts ,i wasted lots of time looking at various fonts. Some i save as jpeg and used in the video others i used by downloading free blood drip font and using it in Photoshop. This naturally is impossible when you cant install fonts on school system because it is blocked so best to do it at home.
Understanding the limitations of various projects means that my experience has increased and i am not shy to try complicated things after all youtube is a web 2.0website which makes ordinary people into film media producers as well as distributors.
Slides created to inspire ,brainstorm and think of horror story ideas, includes some year 8,9 students work to show what can be done on limited money and time. Also includes 4 main core concepts of horror movies as said by quitto washington.
a single slide showing main element to modern narrative.Great as visual representation for students .

Slides from print screens from sky website of top 50 actresses ,i was worried that i knew a lot male lead characters and stars so i put this together to inspire the young female audiences and may help part of research for other projects.

Following slides were part of the early research i done, to get ideas, learn about conventions and media language. After looking at the horror clips i felt more prepared to handle the task ahead. My intial aim was to scare the audience ,after all that why most people watch horror films for. I dont think i have a seen a really great scary horror film( exorcist, paranormal acitivity ) , some come close and some have elements which i like ,others like "aliens" and "the grudge" could have gone bit better to scare the audience more.
Although i have read that some teaser trailer are 30-60 sec ,i have decided i need the screen time and aim to one at least 1min 30 seconds. Most of the trailers i have seen can be about 2-3 minutes and some examples i loved include these links below http://www.horrortrailer.com/ http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=horror+trailers&meta=&aq=f&aqi=g7g-m3&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= http://www.buried.com/ from here
I created this powerpoint to explain the reasons and rationale behind some of my media teaser trailer to understand some of the main concepts of media and how it relates to horror trailers. M – Media Language I – Institution G – Genre R – representation A- Audience I – Ideology N- Narrative
This below is just a transcript from the powerpoint as a backup .You may need new flash version installed to see the slides.
Screen grabs of edit sequence with text - Presentation Transcript Screen Grabs in edit story sequence from redrum3X.com Film Teaser Trailer with Text and directors comments by johnv1 Wipe across signifies the start and like uncovering of text ,similar to computer text be typed or revealed left to right and it impacts the name into audience head so that it stay there like a enigma growing . Wipe across reveals and plants name of film in head. Use of silence and white noise(small background fizz to add to atmosphere so thing is about to begin. Over black background is biggest hint that this horror themed trailer. Use of white and red fonts is other clue to audience . Introduce the wide shot of a dark creepy night time scene. Set the shots of dark creepy street similar to Halloween .the longs shot reveal whole street to introduce trailer. A side profile shot showing mis en scene of young teenager on computer looking at screen. Slight jerky camera movement was going to be reshot ,but lack of time meant it could not be redone easily. A graphic website shot from actual live website to introduce and leave sense of evil website .The use of red and white colour with black gives sense of danger. Big close-up of face with detail in the eye and looking at unknown website. Over the shoulder shot of Tom hearing noises and investigating with video camera rolling. Cutaway shot to show graveyard where body of Susan is buried. This shows detail of grave stones and flowers symbolising death and peace. Narration tells of Susan death and I felt distressed having to show scene of young student being killed on screen so I used the cemetery( local Croydon /mitcham Cemetery ) to show that she is buried here. Big close-up of face with detail face looking from below .spin gives viewer a uneasy feel. This represents the madness that tom is going through. Use of unconvential and traditional film making hence challenging conventions of traditional horror films. Modern horror films like Blair witch and paranormal Activity. Big close-up of face a low angle mid close up to show intense fear on face. Remember some of this was shot by myself using camera. I am firm believer that camera should always be on tripod and movements should be done to enhance scenes, but sometimes you break to rules to experiment and I think it was worth it. Big close-up of face with detail in the eye and looking at unknown website. Almost dream like quality ,slow close of eyes. Death is on it way and the close show the fear exaggerated to the viewer . This young lady is aimed at the target audience although the lead may be seen as a male character. I could have used final girl theory by using a female lead ,but trying to find a female teacher with time available after school could have been a issue. Mid shot showing a face with detail in the eye and looking at something in the dark. Use of blue and white light gives ghost like appearance to audience. Fireworks are to symbolise that it is nearly Guy Fawkes night and the loud noise is to disorient the viewers. With the dark sky and the bright flashes of hope and fear. More scenes of fire works exploding. The use of loud bangs excite and sharpen the audience atmosphere. Tom going up the stairs with camera. The mis en scene with the tinsel on stairs is to show time passed after Halloween murder and during Christmas the increase in strange happenings in house after viewing website. Due to comment about the tinsel I given more information that for mis en scene tinsel put here being close to Christmas after November. Reality was I shot some scenes during Christmas holiday and did not think about setting . Big close-up of face shows toms fear and dis- orientation and as the camera spins around. Challenging the usual tripod still shots. long shot establishes mis en scene in a bedroom ,switching the light on and getting ready to film the eerier noises outside. Tom walks up the stairs to loft to check the strange noises upstairs and this time has his camera to record the event that unfold. Mid close-up of face with detail in the face looking down at something and definitely scared. The uses of a close up shows detail on face. The red light adds to terror through the use of lighting and facial expression is not happy. The audience looking at the do not enter message from redrum3x.com unknown murderous website. Shot of spin and the sense of unwell looking round adds to horror themes with great use of camera angles. Big close-up of keyboard ,obviously the young girls hand typing looking at unknown website.
Mid shows face of Tim the head of department looking threatening as he hints that redrum3x.com is a evil website. Vising graveyard was a great idea Mids shot of face with detail in the eye and looking at unknown website. I had shot scenes inside church but due to time factor I regret not using those scenes. Big close-up of face with detail in face of real terror. This ghost was a apparition a good strange warp filter was added on here using premiere cs3 under filter additions. Big close-up of face going mad as and sitting on bed to represent the sense of giving up all and loft where noise get unbearable. Filter added using premiere cs3 and this means special effects adds to strange mad sense. Seeing the ghostly apparition to show evil is here and it is creepy . On bed ,is he pushed or is he dead . Cutting back to chase and most of all the fear in face . Fireworks definitely show the scary night tine Dutch slanted low and tom looks scared. This girls loses keyboard and mouse and shows frustration of entering website .. Frustrated ,stares at TV screen. .
Wide shot showing night-time with sound effects added to give sense of what is madness. Big close-up of face with swirl filter added to make the ghost look scary. Face of boy, may be reference with the death. Firework with loud sounds Audience POV long shot showing the noises he is hearing in bed. Audience POV long shot showing the noises he is hearing in bed. long shot showing the noises and fireworks being intercut to show madness in Tom head. long shot showing the noises and fireworks being intercut to show madness in Tom head. Ghost like shot of lady standing looking horrified. See the use of bright light to symbolise angelic ghost or see white light when you about die . Wide shot of cemetery walking wards camera ,shows depth in scene and empty behind but tom looked scared. The enigma of what is behind corner. See the detail of stress as tom is now getting more scared . Scene where the Head of Department meet tom to find out why he wasting time with Redrum3x.com website . We see head enter the room looking serious ,the body language tells us something could be wrong. Text of Redrum3X.com repeated over the cemetery shots to death awaits all who enter the website .Film is marketed heavily using viral techniques using the website to give more info about film to audience. The choice of red and white fonts symbolise danger ,death and adds to enigma. Scene back to office where the head talks about tom recent actions. Watch body language carefully. Head sits down and talks to tom. A dark sinister shot showing tom in house with little lights , great use of shadows and lights and body language shows tom is hearing something. We empathise with tom going mad. Tom Covers ears and goes upstairs into unknown loft to investigate. We see the camera with him shot .This mis en scene prop was used to give shots similar to Blair witch project and paranormal Activity. Big close-up of face with detail Blood on face. This is use of graphic gore ,violence which pays homage to some horror films. Looking at audience for help shot. Big close-up of face with detail in the blood down face. Big close-up of face/ throat being cut. This is explicit ,but I want to give the sense to audience ,is he being killed, is it a dream from his madness. The text of another website used for marketing. Using new technology with horror was part of my aims. Side profile low angle shot of cemetery and lead Tom. Big close-up of feet toward camera .Low angle and sinister type. Running with the camera and overlay graphics of main website. The real http url ,I created for redrum3x.com to enhance and further make it believable and give sense of converging technologies .I do believe films now use internet to help with marketing the movies to different target audiences more easily. It is easy to setup WebPages to direct young audience to certain less violent pages and the more mature audience to the strong graphics content and both different target audience may see the same movie thinking they have something they wanted from the film. I found issues with free website to upload and learn how to use their online creation tools especially with schools blocking policy system ,so I had to create two just in case one was not working. Big close-up of hand on wind chime and harsh sound effects as it is loud. This was further enhanced by increasing the loudness to ensure it make audience jump. Big close-up Hand on wind chime. Not a brilliant well lit scene ,but I wanted a loud bang for audience to jump and had this in the house and used it. White ash pictures is independent production company and link with paramount means they will push my film. This create a synergy between two companies and with help of main distributor paramount will go promoted in more cinemas or Through DVD and ITunes . The reference of when this film will be released is key to Horror Teaser trailer for me.
Final picture for poster of Redrum3X.com movie click on it to see a higher quality version.
Some of the key changes were the addition of the fire and putting of the other pictures softly in the background.
I wanted the logo of production company White ashes to be different from their name. Overall i am pleased with image and i still concerened if there is enough small hints to keep audience guessing and wanting to see the final film.

Main hero (tom who is on quest finds mystery of redrum3x. Villain is death himself the force behind redrum3x. The girl Susan is false hero and acts as a donor. The head is the helper and princess could be part of delusions of ghost like children and voices. Tzvetan Todorov suggested 5 key stages to each story 1- The equilibrium,( calm and quiet in ordinary school, high achievers play on net war-games online etc.). 2- The disruption of this equilibrium by an event -student Jayne find website and tries to guess password .keeps trying and enter site after no heading warning. 3- Realisation that a disruption has happened- (murdered student violent news hits staff and school. Funeral and cemetery scenes some say gang victim relevant to news trends) 4 -an attempt to repair the damage of the disruption - tom teacher is plagued as to why police after him with the email saying redrum3x.He is gone mad delusions after guessing password. 5- Restoration of equilibrium which may be new equilibrium how- police find body of teacher but he is not dead but nearly at end tip off after text message to head from redrum3x site.
Icons: Blood , knife , death Darkness Gore Mask (hides identity “the unknown" had seen with masked man looking at audience removed due to early comments of inappropriate and out of place) Music & sound: Atmospheric suspense music Loud bangs caused by fireworks and sound effects. Screams Heavy breathing (chase scene) Mise-en-scene: Isolated settings (Cemetery) Dark atmosphere (in house & night time scenes) Characters: Innocent girl although killed later in act2 Victim become hero. Final girl theory (subvert john survives) Psychologically damaged characters (Tom goes mad, crazy) Themes: Good vs. evil (redrum vs. john v) Unfinished business with a redrum coming back for revenge (relevant for sequel film) Challenged the good triumphing over evil.
The use of strange varied camera angles and use of fast cuts, blood and varied shots enabled me to show the complexity of film and show that film may have twist. Use of blood and gore allows me to target older audience and young 18-24 . If we look at aliens or terminator 2, both films are action horror with James Cameron at helm of directing . lead stars had Boyish looks ,body language and clothes conveyed this. Short masculine-style haircut Smart , Sexual reluctance Unisex name: Ripley, Sidney ( from scream 1,2,3) or Sarah Connor (mainly use surname in film) Short masculine-style haircut Intelligent, resourceful, becomes stronger through film. Natural sequences showing outdoor setting. Survives all three films shows character deep will to live and fight. In the teaser trailer video, the characters are important representations of good against evil common theme. The evil killer is an unknown entity force like the grim reaper "death" unseen presence in Entity, final Destination . Usually victims are innocent teenage girls who are simply enjoying a party, this stereotype is challenged again by having a gifted and talented student who does not heed the warnings. First edit showed the graphic violence and killing of lead hero, but comments early on about why would audience see film if they seen killing was challenged again I went to re edit the footage .
My locations suited with the horror genre and creates that scare factor. I chose to shoot in an isolated area which was realistic for a murderer to kill without being seen. I chose the cemetery as one location because it should be realistic that the killer could strike anyone, anywhere. In this film, various cutaways is for the interruption of a continuously filmed action by inserting a view of something else and is often popular in horror films. I used numerous crosscutting for suspense sequences including back to fireworks and Ghost. For our chase scene ,fast cuts showed sense of danger. The combination of the close shots with the short duration between cuts makes the sequence feel longer, more uncontrolled, and more violent rather than if the images presented alone or in a wider angle. Other techniques I used was that I sliced different shots together making it look distorted also adding the filter to youngster face. I edited the video to tell story but although I don’t like narration films recently like wolman 2010 with Anthony Hopkins set scenes faster. Unlike The Blair Witch Project which was a big inspiration for our teaser trailer, I paid homage including scenes from that and paranormal activity. Characters: Innocent girl although killed later in act2 Victim become hero.
Introducing characters: close up, introducing the audience to the main character (s) Extreme close up : shows only one part of the subject in great detail. Shows the character’s emotions; audience focusing on the characters eye, shows fear. Chase scene: They are a popular with the audience due to their intensity and the innate danger of someone running after you trying to catch/kill you. Once I knew our synopsis, I researched into other films that was relevant to us. I spoke of Paranormal Activity independent horror film released in 2009 . The movie is presented using found footage by a couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence in their home. The Blair Witch Project which is a 1999 American horror film which was filmed all using a hand held camera in the woods a strong inspiration . The film is presented as a documentary pieced together from real footage. Similar settings: the cemetery – isolated, dark atmosphere, killer kills without being seen. The final girl is typically virginal lady character but I challenge this convention by already good girl will have a shared history with the killer. The final girl is the need of moving the narrative forward and, she shows intelligence, curiosity, and alertness. The final girl is a horror film pattern that specifically refers to the last girl or woman alive to confront the killer, and usually the one left to tell the story .
Conventions I used for our film poster: Tagline, date, movie title, a main image, a website, credits (cast/crew), Certification 18 ( important wanted blood & gore), and production logo or name . Conventionally many horror film posters have a black background to represent the darkness or evil of a character. Similarly I followed this idea by choosing to have a dark background of the fire iconic . The red writing is also commonly used in posters as it can symbolise blood and evil. I feel that our media products suited to the horror genre. Before starting our media products, it was vital that I did research into existing media products within the horror genre. Searching 1 hour max then collating resources from storyboards this research Helped finalise the main look of task . Pictures reworked to look better. Conventions I should try and include for the Total Film magazine cover: Masthead, the price, issue number, date (month and year), a main image, a puff, a website url, pull quote (sometime used but not on this example). and bleeds (pictures at the edge of the magazine cover) . I used ideas from an existing covers from Total Film magazine, where I used the design of the title to instantly create recognition as a established film magazine. Because it is magazine interview feature I used a typical studio style side profile shot looking at camera with appropriate suit in a mid long shot to ensure face is visible . To give more professional look I edited more and created links with up to date films in the news at the moment with horror links. From this blue to black theme for horror reference part of my progression Some sample poster and links used to inspire final poster.
For each of the three pieces (trailer, magazine and film poster) I used the main character Tom he was the focus of the plot. Logo shown through all three pieces; in the trailer the audience can see do enter signs or references, in the magazine cover the show tom face and fire represent a scene of burning with the film also reference To burning in hell fire is a horror symbol. All the pieces use the same colour scheme which is white, red and black through each project ancillary task. The theme of the darkness is very prominent within the three products. This is due to low lighting with black and red effects to create the sense. This helps us to convey the meaning of a mystery waiting to happen; this appeared through all of our pieces for example the background, the images and the low lighting in each piece Fonts; shadows of the word “redrum3X.com” is repeated. Font is blood Inspired special font called blood drip. This how I created a effective combination of my main product and ancillary texts. I used Adobe Premiere to edit our footage. This was one the hardest task as I had to consider the type of effects I used. Adobe Premiere allowed us to add music and effects including making sequences faster or slower. I used Adobe Photoshop to produce our ancillary texts (magazine cover and film poster), I found Photoshop difficult but experimenting pressing different tools I eventually got the hang of it. I used Photoshop to add text, crop photos, enhance text etc. The trailer is set in the mind of viewer and tom, which corresponds with the film poster. In order to create uniformity and a stronger brand identity. I used various tools for media I phone – some apps to create to do list. Mind maps on computer after doing it on paper to later upload onto blog The use of excel (create lists to buy for crew list ,power point (present evaluation),word (write script) Tools for film makers – website by searching Google with keywords, Rough paper edit then edit on premiere cs3.(old analogue method means faster edits) Transfer and output to DVD. Convert from digital to analogue format.WMV to DVD (digital format shown as analogue Signal on TV). Practice makes perfect and more practice has helped me. Convert to wmv –finding right tools for right jobs. Upload website. I created mock online website with moonfruit.com for Redrum3x.com which was in the trailer. Various screen shots of updating video Then uploading on internet for feedback rather than just teachers or colleagues. Email with feedback from professional graphic artist Slideshare allows Others to see Download my presentations.useful for schools. Other multimedia Websites to create online website links Vimeo multimedia Websites to allowed me to upload video to internet. To gain audience feedback, I tried to upload our teaser trailer onto YouTube. The advantage of uploading our clip onto YouTube meant that the video could be watched by everyone and appeal to a broader audience. It’s also a beneficial way of getting positive or negative criticism which you can improve from. I even email some professionals in film making. As a whole I all set up special info page to watch our trailer and then asked people to answer questions on You Tube. Facebook I joined few horror groups hoping they would respond to my request to view trailer; but no response may be due to my face book settings or status. This would allow me to mix both detailed qualitative ancillary and quantitative data. To make sure I got feedback some people had to be offered incentives like sweets. I also allowed the group to speak out and say anything they liked/disliked about our trailer to get a detailed answer and opinion I spoke to various people. I was disappointed how some people do not respond. What have you learned from your audience feedback? The feedback I received from the questionnaires, focus groups and the various internet sites such as You Tube and Face book, not as much as I expected. Photoshop to add text, crop photo’s, enhance text etc by adding colour or altering the nature of original photo then it becomes new creative work. Photo shop layers and use of plug-in and brushes adds to variety and ease of use make it difficult to learn but essential for making changes when time is running out. Premiere CS3 allowed me to edit films quick and with great new effects. Editing looks better with Premiere The creative process is always a long time, so deadlines make you focus and stop wasting time. I went from a hobbyist, to paid camera man to director then to becoming a great editor thinking I knew lot of things without having to learn .doing this live project showed me that taking ownership leads to responsibility, creativity, time management skills and business critical thinking skills. Most of this not taught in jobs let alone in a small project. I do believe it useful life skills for the future only if the use it and update their skills learnt. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? It looks realistic and some excellent use of relevant use of fonts and design layout to make it believable. looking at other text representations of existing media helped. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? By doing ancillary products helps me to advertise the main trailer more accurately to my target audience. My previous music magazine task taught me more Photoshop skills and hence ancillary task was not main concern because of experience. I learnt lots and updated my skills. What have you learned from your audience feedback? Lots and I constantly kept updating and at some time you have to let go can finalise or rush at last minute to get all corrections done. I Revisited some of the key words from media, convergence and most of all applied lot of theory taught and made it practical with real life problems. Learnt lots due to comments I missed or overlooked or thought one would notice. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? In research the internet is king ,but most importantly thinking of the keywords relevant only to what you trying to do means you can focus on delivering a good product. In production terms the software still take a lot of time ,in new some tools updated or moved but on whole it is faster for complex bigger photos . Editing is still time consuming must have vision in head, and final uploading to blogs brings new set of technology barriers to overcome or accept and have it easier by upload it at home. Now new strangers can comment and input into the work and change it if time is there. I have learnt a lot and more appreciative of media and it bigger power and its effects on not just you as individual but to whole world and in light of new crisis media showed us that even mother nature can cause havoc to school and colleges and how news spread fast but cloud ashes means new traffic plans to be devised instead whole world coming to standstill. Learnt lots ,was challenging but great fun. Lots of new media technology comes and goes so need to use strong lasting tools and adapt skills.
Time spent on project is long so backup work regularly and keep URL and passwords safe and secure. I learnt about media terms and know who to apply them properly. Media representation in films is not necessarily reality based and is a great form of escapism, for different target audiences. + guest55d149b, 4 minutes ago

From the begining i knew that this would be challenging project ,i would have to do most of the orgainising ,planning and construction of all the elements of the project being only one person in the group. In some way one person has to make the final desicion so it should have been little easier ,but i did not anticipate all the extra time and effort needed to create a professional looking poster ,cover and trailer would be so time consuming.
The planning was straight forward.i wanted a scary story which could be done using locations to save time and money ,i used my home ,the school and my local cemetry and church. THe story eveolved from here and kept changing and i had to stop being so ambitious. the story board after created was scanned on the computer and printed so i can show camera man.
I found the editing process the most time consuming and most creative process. Not only do i need to update my skills on premiere cs3 version learning new tools and shortcuts it was fun to see the new creation taking shape.
I found that computer or software can crash when you least expect but i did ensure that the project is backed up on external hard drive and still keep learning new things about special effects and filters.
First edit completed with music and titles "evil comes with fear" ,this was a long sturgggle and it took me lots of man hours.
this version of was reedited to include some of the new scenes of winter time and inside church scenes. "mankind ...last hope " and "Terror at home "narration sounded to melodramatic so was removed later
New edit version but struggled with music ,i wanted to use copy right free music ( i was worried about it on you tube with regard to getting permission for use of copy right music from famous fim themes .New scenes of church and stained glass was put in make a good fast scenes and sadly scenes at snow time were removed later by artistic differences with director . narration was bit slow and "mankind surive " would later be removed.Scene of the the bloody end and jack i see dead people was bit corny so i have to decided to remove those as well after comment from students and teacher.
Hopefully from these early edits you can see how i had to keep with comments and progression of this filmmaking process and making final editorial decision trying to test and try out different solutions'.
final edit of trailer was added to blog site is fairly scary and fulfils the needs of the media a2 alevel project in my opinion and also from of the positive feedback from some of the people on you tube and friends and family who watched this clips online.
Found this wonderful resource for new filmmakers on how to setup and compose shots for stills or video. well done please do leave any feeback with any of your thoughts through email. johnvarj2@gmail.com
Final Edited video Uploaded here After Editing the whole Teaser Trailer, i found that i had to go through more hoops to get the video up to the website. There are always different ways to do this but this was my workflow. Final edit of Trailer gave me new final edit which then had to be rendered and outputed as a avi file in oder to have just one file edit. This file was around 380mb is size and that really hard to put on the internet and would play back terribly so i then had to export the same avi to a WMV file which is optimised for the web and for PC use. This would allow me to save this new wmv file about 40mb in size to web and also into powerpoint and into a online video sharing and commenting website called vimeo.com ,i like this vimeo site because it not blocked by our school system at moment unlike you tube which makes it difficult to upload any video because of schools web blocking policy.

info pasted from this url above for reference in case website down. Slasher Movies 101 A "Cut" Above the Rest By Mark H. Harris, About.com Guide See More About:slashershalloween moviesfriday the 13thnightmare on elm street Two slasher icons, Elm Street's Freddy and Friday's Jason
Every slasher has a killer. He's usually male, and his identity is often concealed either by a mask or by creative lighting and camerawork. Even if his identity is known, as in the case of Halloween's Michael Myers, he still tends to mask his face. This, combined with the fact that he's usually mute and seemingly unstoppable, heightens his ominous, threatening nature. His back story often includes a childhood trauma (atomic wedgies and the like) that turned him into the homicidal maniac he is today, thus creating a level of sympathy in the viewer. After all, the real star of a slasher is the killer, not the hero. Throughout a franchise like Friday the 13th, heroes come and go, but the killer is constant: the iconic antihero valued for speaking softly and carrying a big machete.
The Victims
What's a killer without victims? In slashers, the victims tend to be young, attractive and often nude. They're typically high school- or college-aged adolescents who engage in vice-ridden activities: sex, alcohol, drugs, crime, football. Rarely does the killer pick these kids explicitly because of their misdeeds, but there is an unwritten moral code in these films that punishes bad behavior. As nihilistic as they might seem, slasher fans like to know that the people who die somehow "deserve" it.
The Heroine
Although slashers are often criticized for being misogynistic, they're one of the few film genres that primarily feature strong, independent female leads. The heroine is almost always a peer of the victims, but unlike her cohorts, she's virtuous. She doesn't go along with all of the sexual hijinks and drug usage, and if she doesn't outright stop her pals from bullying the geeky outcast who may someday grow into a homicidal killing machine, she at least feels really bad about it. The heroine is also known as the "final girl" because by the end of the movie, all of her friends are dead, and she's left alone to deal with the killer.
The Violence
One thing that separates slashers from thrillers and murder mysteries is the level of violence. Slashers shift the focus of the film from such trivialities as "plot" and "character development" and instead concentrate on the killing. Storylines are basically constructed around giving the killer reason and opportunity to do what he does best: murder and mayhem. The deaths are violent and graphic, and the more originality shown in the methods and tools used, the better.
History
John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) is often considered to be the first "true" slasher in terms of tying all of these components together, thus setting the standard by which all other films are judged. However, earlier works laid the groundwork, including a pair from 1960: Peeping Tom and Psycho. A lesser-known film, 1963's Violent Midnight, foreshadowed in the long run the mystery killers in slasher movies and in the short run, it predated the development of an Italian slasher forerunner later in the '60s.
Around the middle of the decade, Italian filmmakers like Mario Bava began to focus their crime stories on the perverse beauty of bloody deaths, developing a style known as giallo. Bava's Twitch of the Death Nerve (1971) in particular forecasted the slasher movement to come, as did the Canadian entry Black Christmas in 1974. Others, like 1976's giallo-like Alice, Sweet Aliceand the little-seen American cheapie Wicked, Wicked (1973), incorporated elements that would later become associated with slashers (e.g., a masked serial killer).
It took an American film in Halloween, though, to put all of the pieces together and show that the slasher could be a powerhouse moneymaker in the US. Made on a shoestring budget, Halloween became the most profitable independent picture to date. Its success led to Friday the 13th in 1980, which then opened the door for hundreds of imitators during the 1980s, with 1984's A Nightmare on Elm Street containing one of the few original concepts in its supernatural, dream-fed villain, Freddy Krueger.
By the start of the '90s, the slasher concept had worn thin, with fewer and fewer films succeeding at the box office. But in 1996, Wes Craven's Scream, an often tongue-in-cheek affair that toyed with the conventions of slashers, became the biggest hit the genre had ever seen. The slasher was reborn in a modern whodunit mold, generating similar fare like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Urban Legend and Valentine, as well as, ironically enough, resurrecting the Halloween franchise. In the early 21st century, the slasher has continued to search the past for its inspiration, as remakes of Black Christmas, When a Stranger Calls, Prom Night and Halloween have hit the big screen, while the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises both saw their biggest payday when they combined forces for 2003's Freddy vs. Jason.
I love horror and gore but new notable Slashers or horror movies with killers or bloody violence in content of movie.

Story line and horror trailer Who constructed the text? A mature student aged 40 created a trailer aimed at young teenagers aged 15 to 28 studying or started work or looking for escapism. What context did they constructed for? This horror trailer constructed to feed young teenagers with fresh new fear of technology via the internet. And give them panic morals and dilemmas of entering unknown websites. What other texts have they created? We created a low budget horror trailer to appeal directly to the Uk audience by showing the UK locations. What modes and conventions can I recognise from the text that was constructed. I have seen various blood themes and fear technologies in films like one missed call and paranormal activity and signs. What genre(horror, thriller, actions, comedy) Codes and conventions being employed here?. The low budget horror themes and conventions of fear of unknown technology websites. What time and place is text constructed? Due to working in a school, I placed the story and settings in a school and inside a home. Is this text typical of its genre are time and place ? yes this is typical and some unique references with use of real locations and school staffs were used in productions. What representations were used in this text to create meaning. A typical south London schools is being represented as a location and scenes in the schools and home add to the reality of ordinary life to make it morebelievable topics. What meaning has been encoded in to the texts? The sense of danger is all around and as used in films like poltergeist was a movie where people were afraid of the tv and theis film may do the same for blocked websites. The codes of using young teenagers is sense of peril with unseen danger. Active audience point of view .:- I hoped to give a sense of different point of view to the audience with typical scenes and unexpected peril scenes with sense of danger. How does this text conform to audience this expectation? Similar scenes of danger are used in lot of horror films including Halloween and one missed call. What previous experience does the audience have when consuming this text? They watched different horror films with different perils and unseen monsters so they are used to this type of peril.
